We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our dynamic Company Accounts team at Dexters. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end tasks, including ledger reconciliations, to meet departmental deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal departments, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Enter data accurately and process all postings with precision to ensure financial integrity.
  • Support management with ad-hoc duties as required, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Implement stringent checks and safeguards to prevent potential fraud or deceit, ensuring the security of our financial systems.
  • Allocate receipts and payments, process invoices, and prepare and check weekly payment runs to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
  • Assist in month-end routines and reporting, providing valuable insights and analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Proactively manage and respond to finance queries via telephone and email, escalating issues as necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Support the team during busy periods, overflow, and holiday cover, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Perform other general office duties as required, contributing to the smooth operation of our Company Accounts team.

Skill Requirements & Desires:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
  • Competency with Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions, to analyze and present financial data effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement, driving continuous learning and growth within our team.
