We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our dynamic team as a Group Financial Accountant for a 9-month parental cover position. This hybrid role is based in our Teddington office, allowing for flexibility to work from home three days a week.

As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be at the heart of our operations for a £700m+ turnover private equity-backed global business. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from systems improvements and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to month-end and year-end support, including reporting, audit support, and analysis. You will collaborate closely with the Group accounting team, our outsourced finance provider, the Group Finance Manager, and the Group Financial Controller, with regular interaction with senior divisional finance team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Closing monthly results and preparing statutory financial documents (IFRS)
  • Participating in various accounting projects, such as operational improvement and simplification
  • Working closely with our outsourced finance provider on month-end transactional activities
  • Helping build and maintain uniform and consistently documented and applied financial policies and processes
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), fixed asset accounting, etc.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with IFS is an advantage
