The primary aim of this position is to oversee the successful execution of extensive technical initiatives and capabilities within the organization, while engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to grasp their requirements and expectations throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery, resource distribution, and enhancement of intricate technical project capabilities utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, retrospectives, and sprint execution.
- Engage with clients and business units to manage and execute customer trials that support the proposal of technically viable solutions, along with effort and timeline estimations.
- Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance teams, product managers, and other engineering divisions to deliver high-caliber products and features throughout the software project lifecycle, aligned with the organization's objectives, regulations, and security protocols.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects to prepare the organization for potential challenges.
- Manage change requests and maintain communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee vendor relationships involved in technical projects to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms.
- Stay informed about the latest industry technology trends and innovations to assess and adopt new strategies for enhancing delivery outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and growth.
- Will influence the work of related teams within the area.
- Collaborate with other functions and business sectors.
- Assume responsibility for the end results of a team's operational processes and activities.
- Appropriately escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
- Take charge of embedding new policies/procedures adopted for risk mitigation.
- Advise and influence decision-making within one's area of expertise.
- Assume ownership for managing risk and enhancing controls related to the work you oversee or contribute to. Deliver your work and responsibilities in accordance with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Continuously build an understanding of how your sub-function integrates with the overall function, alongside knowledge of the organization's products, services, and processes within the function.
- Demonstrate comprehension of how various areas coordinate and contribute to achieving the objectives of the organization's sub-function.
- Make evaluative judgments based on factual information analysis, paying close attention to detail.
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical expertise, guided by precedents.
- Guide and persuade team members while communicating complex/sensitive information.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders outside the immediate function, while building a network of contacts beyond the team and external to the organization.
