Organisational Development Coordinator

Cancer Research UK, Cambridge Institute (CRUK CI) is seeking an enthusiastic Organisational Development Coordinator to provide support with all administrative aspects relating to the OD function, implement and evaluate learning and development programmes across the Institute, and contribute to the growth of our people and organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general course/programme administration, including booking venues, preparing and distributing course materials, booking accommodation, travel and transport arrangements.
  • Gather, prepare and collate course information/data, such as course events, attendance and feedback.
  • Conduct 1 to 1/group welcome briefings for new starters in conjunction with the HR Operations team.
  • Support the establishment of a learning management system (LMS).
  • Attend and contribute to relevant forums and committees as required.
  • Support the development of the Institute wellbeing strategy.
  • Play a key role in the promotion, engagement and colleague participation of OD programmes and initiatives, such as leadership development programmes, 360 degree assessments, MBTI assessments, coaching and focus groups.
  • Support the EDI agenda and related activities, including communication, colleague engagement, workshops, networks and development.
  • Undertake project work as directed by the HR Manager.
  • Monitor budgets, process invoices and orders, expenses claims.
  • Support the HR Manager with the Mental Health First Aiders network.
  • Support with the Institute social events calendar.
  • Promote a culture of life/work balance and healthy work practices.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate motivation and resilience.
  • Have excellent organisational skills with accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • Be able to plan and manage own workload.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation and build positive working relationships.
  • Be highly competent in standard software packages, e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and able to use and grasp new technologies.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work in a team/use own initiative.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver, and promote, excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be able to gather facts and write and present complex reports.
  • Have an open, fun and flexible approach to work.

This post relies on the availability of external funds which are not part of the University's central revenues. In the event that this funding should cease, this post may be at risk of redundancy.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment and a security check.
