Position: Director of Automotive Operations
Our client, a leading player in the automotive sector, is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Automotive Operations to oversee their prominent pre-owned vehicle dealership. This role offers a competitive salary of £55-65k with an OTE of £90k, along with a fully electric company vehicle.
About the Role:
As the Director of Automotive Operations, you will be responsible for steering a large team within a thriving dealership environment. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence in customer service while achieving the company's strategic objectives. You will ensure that the dealership is presented to the highest standards and will cultivate strong relationships with your team and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a cohesive team of sales executives.
- Set ambitious goals for the sales team and provide constructive feedback on performance.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels for both daily operations and long-term success.
- Maintain compliance with all regulations to enhance the customer experience.
- Encourage innovation by being open to new methodologies and supporting the team in exploring fresh ideas.
- Inspire the sales team to deliver exceptional customer experiences at every interaction.
- Oversee daily sales operations, including deal management and sales funnels, to maximize revenue.
- Supervise the aftersales/service department, ensuring seamless operations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven success in sales within the automotive industry.
- Strong background in used vehicle sales, preferably from a used car supermarket.
- Ability to lead by example and inspire a high-performing team.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Proficient in computer systems and software.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Experience with aftersales/service departments is advantageous but not mandatory.
Working Hours:
This position requires flexibility, with a mix of weekdays and weekends, typically involving long shifts. The dealership operates until late, providing ample opportunity for high earnings.
An extensive in-house training program will be provided to familiarize you with the company's culture and processes, with all related expenses covered by the organization.
