Supporting Students with Complex Needs

Parker Smith Inclusion is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a class of 7 students per year, following them from Year 7 to Year 11, building relationships, and gaining their trust along the way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and assistance to students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • Build strong relationships with students and gain their trust
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised support plans
  • Assist in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage students to engage with their learning and develop essential skills
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering student well-being
