Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with teachers and other professionals to meet the unique needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students during classroom activities and lessons, adapting to their individual learning requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement in the learning process.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system for students with special educational needs.
  • Support the overall positive and inclusive atmosphere of the school, promoting a culture of respect and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individual student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
