Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in the East of England, Essex, Grays area.

Job Type:

This is a temporary, full-time position with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Primary Industry:

Education and Training

Salary:

£85 per day, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Job Duties:
  • Provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Support students' academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs.

Experience:

Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEN provisions and support strategies.
  • Ability to adapt and tailor support to meet individual student needs.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection.
