Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement individualised education plans that cater to the unique needs of students.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, adapting your approach to meet the diverse learning requirements of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement in the learning process.
  • Work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system that addresses the needs of students.
  • Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with SEN, is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team to achieve common goals.
