Job Title: Lead Product Security Architect

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Security Architect to join their team in the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) division. This team operates in the UK, delivering innovative support solutions to customers in need, ensuring that front-line capability is always available.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced security architect with a strong background in developing and managing product security systems for defense and government clients. As the Lead Product Security Architect, you will oversee all security aspects of product design, development, and maintenance throughout their lifecycle. Collaborating closely with product development teams, you will design and implement security controls, providing expert advice in the area of product security.

  • Collaborate with customer security accreditors and project engineering teams to ensure product compliance with security policies.
  • Produce Security Management Plans, work package descriptions, and cost estimates for product bids.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, create mitigation plans, and prepare documentation for system accreditation.
  • Define product security requirements, advise development teams on implementation standards, and oversee development activities.
  • Interact with Security Accreditors and Security Assurance Coordinators for security accreditation support.
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, including Protection Profiles and Security Targets.
  • Provide through-life support for product security, including vulnerability and patch management.
  • Lead security incident management teams during crisis situations.
  • Review and enhance product security policies and processes.
  • Deliver product security training to project engineering teams.
  • Experience in developing security solutions for military and commercial products.
  • Registered NCSC certified professional with knowledge of Information Assurance standards.
  • Practical experience with security accreditation documentation and evaluation techniques.
  • Understanding of crypto technologies, key management systems, and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Knowledge of operating systems, firmware, software security controls, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude with a drive for business improvement and influencing others.
  • Experience with Enterprise Security Architectures (SABSA, MODAF).
