About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our income management team as a Building Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for income collection and providing guidance to customers on subjects like benefits and income maximisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect income from customers and ensure timely payment
  • Provide guidance to customers on benefits and income maximisation
  • Work closely with colleagues to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in an engaging and welcoming way
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, including negotiating repayment arrangements
  • Utilize strong IT skills and attention to detail to manage workload and maintain accurate records
