Ombudsman Case Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Assessment and Resolution Team as a Case Handler. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in resolving complaints from students and promoting fairness in the higher education sector.
Key Responsibilities- Initial Assessment and Case Handling: Conduct thorough assessments of complaints, communicate decisions to students, and provide guidance on the OIA's case-handling process.
- Documentation and Information Gathering: Request and obtain necessary documentation and information from higher education providers, students, and student representatives.
- Early Resolution and Negotiation: Promote early resolution of cases by contacting students, student representatives, and providers to negotiate settlements.
- Complaint Reviews and Outcomes: Conduct reviews of complaints, draft, and issue Complaint Outcomes.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, providers, and colleagues.
- Customer Service Focus: Demonstrate a strong customer service focus, with a commitment to providing excellent support to students and providers.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Technology Skills: Be comfortable with technology, with the ability to adapt to new and changing IT systems and processes.
- Strong Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a demanding and high-volume environment.
