We are seeking a seasoned professional with a background in consulting and data science who is eager to immerse themselves in a dynamic start-up environment. This role offers the chance to guide a product from initial concept to full-scale deployment, collaborating with top-tier machine learning experts on cutting-edge AI methodologies, while maintaining direct engagement with clients and a strong emphasis on successful delivery.

The global financial landscape is rapidly evolving towards Real Time Payments (RTP), fostering significant innovation and modernization in payment systems. The demand for real-time payment solutions is surging across all regions, contributing trillions of dollars in annual payment volume worldwide. To facilitate successful adoption, RTP infrastructures require complementary value-added services throughout the entire payments ecosystem—this is where Visa plays a pivotal role.

You will become a vital member of the RTP Risk Analytics product team, which is dedicated to designing and developing state-of-the-art AI solutions that empower financial institutions to detect and thwart fraud and scams in real-time payment transactions. Utilizing advanced techniques such as Deep Learning, Network Graph Analytics, and Scalable Machine Learning, our team is at the forefront of innovation.

The RTP Risk Analytics initiative represents a crucial strategic growth area for Visa, aligning with our commitment to meet the increasing market demand for new and emerging payment flows.

As a Product Manager, you will spearhead the swift design and development of our innovative AI offerings. You will collaborate closely with Visa Research, our San Francisco-based machine learning and data engineering R&D specialists, to integrate the most advanced AI techniques into our services.

In addition to product development, you will play a key role in commercializing the service and activating markets globally. This encompasses delivering client presentations and demonstrations, nurturing client relationships, and executing pilot projects with prospective clients to showcase the service's value and prepare them for transition to a live environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and execution of the RTP Risk Analytics product suite, including:
    • Managing the end-to-end development process (Inception - POC - MVP - Live)
    • Contributing business insights to AI design and technology discussions.
    • Collaborating with various teams across Visa to ensure alignment of RTP Risk Analytics with Visa's global strategy and product offerings.
    • Working alongside Product, Research, Engineering, UX teams, and others to establish product objectives and deliver essential features.
  • Lead client pilot delivery phases, including:
    • Planning and managing the scope of work
    • Collaborating with data science teams to achieve successful outcomes
    • Presenting findings and results to clients
  • Drive product commercialization efforts, including:
    • Delivering client presentations and demonstrations
    • Advancing opportunities into client demand
    • Maintaining relationships within local markets
  • Employ a creative and Design Thinking approach to devise innovative solutions to industry challenges.
  • Build and manage a team as necessary to deliver products effectively.
  • Play a crucial role in the RTP Risk Analytics team, actively contributing to the overall strategy, commercialization, and execution of Risk Analytics products.
  • Establish yourself as the go-to expert for Advanced Analytics Products within the Financial Crime/RTP function, representing the product and its strategic direction.

This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 designated days per week, with a general guideline of being present in the office at least 50% of the time based on business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in consulting programs and/or product management for advanced analytics products in financial services, with both client-facing and delivery-focused experience.
  • Experience in financial crime and/or payments within the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of success in fast-paced, agile environments with demanding timelines.
  • Extensive experience in designing and launching products that utilize complex modeling techniques, including AI/ML.
  • Experience in managing and providing requirements for remote data science teams focused on AI/ML.
  • Passion for innovating and delivering truly differentiated products and user experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across various levels, regions, cultures, and languages, successfully interfacing with both specialized teams and broader business partners.
  • Strong capability to analyze complex data and information, develop insights, and create impactful narratives.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and drive change management initiatives.
  • Ability to lead executive communications effectively.
  • Success in this role will be achieved through a combination of leadership, product knowledge, innovation, customer focus, and strategic application, alongside a positive contribution to Visa's expanding portfolio of payment products and services.
