Starting Salary: £25,480 (includes one sleep-in shift per week). We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Support Worker for our Supported Living Scheme. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to provide round-the-clock assistance to adults facing intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges across three distinct services.

Our Supported Living team is committed to empowering our residents to engage in daily activities that foster independence and fulfillment.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Upholding the rights of our residents and facilitating their self-expression
  • Addressing their emotional and communication needs
  • Assisting with essential life skills such as budgeting, shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning
  • Encouraging community involvement through appointments and social events
  • Creating enjoyable experiences filled with laughter

Whether you are guiding a resident through grocery shopping or helping them prepare a meal, this role offers the chance to enhance your skills in attention to detail and interpersonal communication.

Essential Skills and Experience for a Support Worker

  • Care Certificate (not mandatory)
  • Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving License (desirable but not required)

We are looking for individuals with a positive mindset, adaptability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Support Worker Shifts

This full-time position entails 37.5 hours per week with a mix of early and late shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays. Sleep-in shifts are also part of the role, compensated at a rate of £67.50 per night.
