About the Role:

The Rufford Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Grants Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to support the management and delivery of the Rufford Small Grants Programme, ensuring that grantees have the necessary support during the implementation of their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review applications and provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants
  • Assess progress and project delivery of successful grantees
  • Collaborate with the conservation team to provide input into project review
  • Administer the Rufford Small Grants programme, including day-to-day tasks
  • Identify and support grantees to deliver in-person learning events
  • Develop and implement new ideas to enhance the foundation's small grants and grantee development work
  • Represent the foundation at key events, including conferences and workshops

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Knowledge of conservation and grant-making practices
