GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs of young people in our client schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring students receive tailored support.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans, working closely with teachers and students.
- Participate in school events and activities, enriching the student experience.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in special education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective support strategies.
- Creativity and adaptability to design and implement effective support strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
