Academic Board Member

We are seeking a strategic thinker with a successful track record of inspirational leadership in education and/or business. As a key member of our trust board, you will champion collaborative working and professional development to nurture a happy, vibrant, and skilled workforce.
Our trust, Aspire Academy Trust, is a growing multi-academy trust with 37 primary academies, 22 nurseries, and 2 outdoor education centres across Cornwall. We are committed to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children, and ensuring a culture of valuing diversity and equality of opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive educational excellence and growth
- Collaborate with our experienced trust board and directors to achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils
- Work in partnership with our directors, strategic leads, heads of school, and the diocese to develop our trust
- Manage financial risk, opportunities, and landscape of a growing MAT
- Ensure active risk assessment and mitigation
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of education and finance
- Experience in senior educational and/or business leadership
- Ability to plan and track finances
- Familiarity with audit and risk in the academy sector
