Children's Complex Care and Continuing Care Clinical Manager

We are seeking an innovative and experienced nurse to lead and manage the children's continuing care, mental health, and learning disability commissioning team. As a key member of the NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the health and well-being of children and young people in our communities.
Main Responsibilities- Manage and lead on complex individual cases and high-cost commissioning within the NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB)
- Provide effective management and leadership to issues relating to the decision-making and administration of all bespoke and individual commissioning of packages of care and intervention for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (CIOS) for children and young people with ongoing complex health needs
- Ensure a robust assessment of individual patient eligibility and negotiation of safe and appropriate packages of care are commissioned
- Review, develop, and manage the process for Children's Continuing Care, Children's Personal Health Budgets, and Specialist Equipment Requests
- Provide clinical advice on Individual Funding Requests for children with complex healthcare needs or learning disabilities
- Ensure relevant information is provided to address complaints, investigations, and appeals
- Work alongside Children's Safeguarding Leads to ensure safeguarding and child protection concerns are fully investigated and reported
- Make recommendations and decisions in respect to joint funding packages of care and placements with the local authority
- Work with providers to agree packages of care to prevent or re-patriate children placed out of area with complex LD or autism and challenging behavior or mental health needs
