About the Role

Cornwall Hospice Care is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing specialist palliative care services to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs, including those with cancer and other life-limiting conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to empower them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Participate in clinical audits and research projects to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in palliative care and working with patients with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
