Role Overview: MEP Planning Manager

As the MEP Planning Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Comprehending the complete scope of MEP operations and their integration with building activities and commissioning strategies.
  • Identifying client specifications for seamless integration with their systems.
  • Recognizing the limitations imposed by the client's design team delivery schedule.
  • Overseeing the creation of individual trade contractor schedules, which encompass design, procurement, off-site fabrication, installation, and commissioning, while ensuring their accuracy.
  • Ensuring that all trade contractor schedules adhere to agreed-upon constraints, methodologies, sequences, and logistics.
  • Integrating all validated trade contractor schedules into a comprehensive SRM program.
  • Developing and managing key performance indicators to assess the progress of design, procurement, off-site fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Monitoring and documenting progress, analyzing data, and preparing detailed progress reports in various formats.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of building-based MEP systems.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • An appreciation for the commissioning process in intricate environments.
  • Proficiency in PowerProject and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with 3D modeling.
  • Strong core planning and programming skills.
  • A background in mechanical or electrical trade contracting.
  • A good grasp of the commercial implications of planning.
  • An understanding of 4D planning environments.
