About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team at Laing O'Rourke, a leading construction company in the UK. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: You will be responsible for delivering MEP projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Management: You will lead and manage a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure exceptional team performance.
  • Budget and Output Performance: You will be accountable for budget and output performance, reporting to the M&E Project Lead.
  • Health and Safety: You will be responsible for implementing Safety Management Systems and ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: You will establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and engineers.
  • Technical Capability: You will demonstrate a strong technical capability in applying construction methods and optimizing the use of construction plant and equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: You will have a proven track record of project delivery within the construction or related industries, with experience of fast-track data centers, major hospitals, prisons, science, stadia, and high-rise commercial and residential projects.
  • Education: You will have a degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Skills: You will have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive a large-scale project.
