Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Delivery Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Construction Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of large, multiple construction packages to agreed safety standards, quality, programme, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement detailed and accurate short, mid, and long-term plans for successful delivery.
  • Work with the Delivery Team to develop and maintain a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to manage and influence project outcomes.
  • Support the Senior Construction Delivery Team in influencing the long-term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to Delivery Teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain a series of both internal and external relationships to drive business growth and development.
  • Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of construction methodology, process, and inherent safety involved.
  • Detailed knowledge of digital platforms and how to implement onsite.
  • Detailed knowledge of Mace Standards, where to find them, and how to implement them.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work.
  • Planning and budget management experience.
  • Open, with strong empathetic communication skills.
  • Aware of industry technology and advances.
  • Sound technical expertise in HSE regulations.
  • Offering an experienced perspective to all Site operations, exploring new and innovative methods.
  • Clearly communicates and ensures that each direct/indirect report knows their role and importance.

  • Good understanding of MEP systems and their relationship to Structure/Fit Out.
  • External, recognised accreditation (CIOB etc).
  • Aware of wider BU, Engine, and overall Corporate Strategy, and understands their role within each.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Aware of own workstyle and commits to professional feedback and personal development.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Recognised Construction Training/Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Construction management expertise.
  • Developing commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
