Derivatives Processing Leadership Role
Legal & General seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our EMEA Derivatives Operations and Collateral team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of derivative transactions across the region, while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all Middle Office derivatives activities within EMEA, encompassing trade management and collateral management processes.
- Directly manage a team of 10 professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external service providers, ensuring they consistently deliver services that meet global benchmarks.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of outsourced providers using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identify and mitigate operational and strategic risks associated with derivatives processing, effectively engaging stakeholders to address potential issues.
- Develop and implement robust quality processes to guarantee data integrity and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to align on best practices and optimize data delivery efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in the asset management industry, with a deep understanding of derivatives processing workflows.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards governing outsourced service providers within the financial sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing third-party relationships, ensuring effective communication and performance monitoring.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of inspiring and motivating a team to achieve shared goals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering tangible business benefits within defined timelines.
