Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Air Freight team at Schenker Deutschland AG. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business growth and revenue expansion in the air freight sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a robust air freight sales pipeline across key sectors, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through market research and proactive outreach.
- Manage enquiries, RFQs, and tenders from inception to conclusion, ensuring seamless communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Air Product team to craft customer-centric value propositions, aligning with DB Schenker's standards and exceeding client expectations.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of our air business unit in the UK, driving revenue expansion and market share.
- Present compelling, value-adding solutions to clients, leveraging your expertise in air freight and multi-modal freight forwarding.
- Ensure new business is in line with our internal financial guidelines, maintaining a strong focus on profitability and revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain influential relationships with potential major clients, fostering trust and establishing long-term partnerships.
- Proven sales record in acquiring new business and exceeding sales targets, with a strong background in air or multi-modal freight forwarding.
- Experience in managing tenders leading to significant opportunities, with a track record of success in driving business growth.
- Skilled at building trust and establishing high-quality relationships with customers, with excellent presentation skills and written and spoken English.
