About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Air Freight team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing a robust air freight sales pipeline across key sectors and identifying new business opportunities through market research and proactive outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a robust air freight sales pipeline across key sectors, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through market research and proactive outreach.
  • Manage enquiries, RFQs, and tenders from inception to conclusion, ensuring that new business is in line with our internal financial guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Air Product team to craft customer-centric value propositions and present compelling, value-adding solutions aligned with DB Schenker's standards.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of our air business unit in the UK, developing and maintaining influential relationships within potential major clients.
About You
  • You have a proven sales record in acquiring new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • You possess a significant background in Air or multi-modal freight forwarding.
  • You have experience in managing tenders leading to significant opportunities.
  • You are skilled at building trust and establishing high-quality relationships with customers.
  • You demonstrate effective presentation skills and excellent written and spoken English.
