Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee landlord compliance contracts, ensuring comprehensive programs are established to cover all compliance aspects.
  • Procure and manage contracts to deliver outstanding customer service, addressing or escalating performance issues as necessary.
  • Provide monthly updates on compliance areas, including performance metrics, KPIs, program status, quality assurance, and resident feedback where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance contracts adhere to budgetary constraints, timelines, and current health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to compliance, ensuring that action points are addressed within specified timeframes.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Manage daily contract operations on-site, conducting pre- and post-inspections and providing guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to facilitate access for compliance inspections, addressing repair and maintenance issues, and identifying any vulnerabilities or safeguarding concerns.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of domestic and commercial gas compliance, heating systems, renewable energy, Legionella, and pumping stations. Knowledge of building regulations is a plus.
  • Handle complaints effectively.
  • Lead a team of compliance administrators to ensure accurate and timely data reporting, maintaining updated asset datasets.
  • Draft, revise, and implement organizational policies.
  • Prepare specifications, designs, and tender documentation for procurement of services and works.
  • Ensure resident consultation is conducted when necessary, keeping residents informed about ongoing works.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing substantial budgets, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and health and safety standards within the housing sector, preferably with experience in a housing association or local authority.
  • Ability to connect on-the-ground execution with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain compliance by ensuring projects are completed in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Possess a full UK clean driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related purposes.
  • Aim for professional growth within the housing sector through the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Skills:

  • Effectively communicate ideas and information in various formats, including formal report preparation.
  • Develop and manage budget and cost estimates.
  • Maintain precise records of expenditures.
  • Utilize and update the organization's computer-based asset management system.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and uphold the organization's values.
