About the Role:

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Educator in Scientific Studies to become a vital part of our lively secondary educational institution in Preston, Lancashire. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute stimulating and rigorous lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4).
  • Create and apply comprehensive schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Evaluate, track, and communicate student progress effectively.
  • Employ creative teaching strategies to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Uphold exemplary standards of classroom management.
  • Engage in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school-wide training sessions.
  • Contribute to the institution's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a relevant scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Experience in teaching science at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
  • Strong knowledge of the subject and a genuine enthusiasm for science education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development.
