The role of Financial Controller is a broad and interesting opportunity that will challenge an analytically focused and outgoing accountant who enjoys producing detailed financial performance reports. The position is offered as a full-time, permanent contract with a flexible working schedule and generous hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day financial operations and controls, ensuring transactions are correctly posted to digital accounting platforms.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of transactional finance staff.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on cash flow position and external projects.
- Produce high-quality management information and financial reports with commentary for senior management and investors.
- Ensure compliant and timely financial reporting standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director on new and ongoing accounting projects.
- Maintain relevant project documentation and contracts.
- Assist in year-end procedures and annual audit.
We seek a confident and detail-oriented individual, ideally operating at FC/FM level or as a senior Management/Financial Accounting professional with a passion for high-quality reporting. The successful candidate will probably hold a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and possess some exposure to financial modelling and an understanding of external investments. Experience in managing a small team and influencing department heads outside of finance is highly relevant, as is a good range of IT competencies (bespoke accounting platforms and general MS office experience).
