Financial Controller Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day financial operations and controls of the business, ensuring that transactions are correctly posted to the company's digital accounting platforms.
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of transactional finance staff.
  • Play a key role in monitoring, analysing and reporting on cashflow position and external projects.
  • Production of high quality management information and financial reports with commentary for senior management team and investors.
  • Ensure compliant and timely financial reporting standards are upheld.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director on a range of new and ongoing accounting projects.
  • Ensure that all relevant project documentation and contracts are maintained.
  • Company secretarial duties as required.
  • Assist in year-end procedures and annual audit.

This is a particularly broad and visible role that requires a confident and detail orientated individual with a passion for high quality reporting. The successful candidate will probably hold a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and possess some exposure to financial modelling and an understanding of external investments. Experience of managing a small team and influencing department heads outside of finance would be particularly relevant to this role, as would a good range of IT competencies (bespoke accounting platforms and general MS office experience).
