Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custody Nurse/Paramedic to join our team at Resourcing Group. As a Custody Nurse/Paramedic, you will work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality healthcare services to individuals in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide autonomous healthcare services to individuals in custody, including assessments, treatments, and referrals.
  • Work closely with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of healthcare services.
  • Manage minor illnesses and injuries, and take appropriate actions to refer onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Clinically examine police officers and staff injured while on duty.
  • Collect specimens as required under legislation.
  • Provide written statements and testimony as required in any Court or Tribunal.
  • Conduct alcohol and drug intoxication testing.
  • Undertake mental health and learning disability assessments.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (General/Mental Health)/Paramedic qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of qualified experience.
  • NMC Registration/HCPC registration.
  • Willingness to undergo DBS check and police vetting process.
  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Lived in the UK for 3 years.
  • Nursing experience in A&E, ITU, EAU, SAU, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, drug & alcohol workers, EAU, SAU.
  • Valid UK Driving License with access to a car for work purposes.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience of working closely with team members and external parties to review patient care.
