About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner/Paramedic to join our team at Appoint Group. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, managing, and treating patients with a range of illnesses and injuries. You will work independently, making decisions and prescribing medication as an independent non-medical prescriber or using PGDs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients aged 2 and above
  • Provide treatment to patients with a range of illnesses and injuries
  • Prescribe medication as an independent non-medical prescriber or using PGDs
  • Communicate highly complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff
  • Lead, motivate, and support team members in the facilitation of professional and clinical development

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse and valid NMC pin or Paramedic with HCPC registration with no restrictions
  • Full eligibility to live/work in the UK
  • Evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level or completed level 7 module in advanced practice
  • At least 2 years UK experience in a similar setting (emergency care, autonomously within a GP surgery)
  • Independent Prescriber (or on a pathway to complete)
  • Experience of caring for patients aged 2 and above
  • Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification desirable
  • Competent in physical examination of patients of all ages
  • Ability to prioritise workload
