About the Role
As the Group Head of Infrastructure Operations, you will oversee critical teams such as Server & Systems, Virtualisation & Storage, Citrix & SharePoint/Web Services. Your role involves managing these teams to ensure they meet group service levels, maintain standards, and contribute to the company's overall success.
This position is pivotal in steering the company's strategic direction and daily operations, with a focus on development, quality assurance, and improvement.
Responsibilities- Implement solutions to address challenges and issues
- Develop and enhance infrastructure plans, services, policies, procedures, and processes
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the implementation of effective controls
- Drive service improvement initiatives and continuous enhancement
- Participate in designing and executing quality improvement frameworks based on data analysis
- Support employee well-being and contribute to staff development
- Manage timing, resources, scheduling, and staffing to meet high demand effectively
- Provide hands-on support, especially in project management and IT budget forecasting
- Lead technical professional teams during change management processes
- Operationalize the IT Operations Strategy to guide teams effectively
- Collaborate with stakeholders globally to manage infrastructure systems efficiently
- Translate organizational strategies into actionable team goals through coaching and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Risk Management and Data Governance Policies
- Manage and coach direct reports, overseeing performance, development, and recruitment
- Serve as the Relationship Owner for assigned vendors, maintaining service quality and adherence to security requirements
The company offers a competitive salary ranging from £80,000 to £90,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package including bonuses, annual leave, pension, life assurance, medical insurance, and various other perks.
Requirements- Extensive experience in IT Operational support, service desk management, and people leadership
- Proficiency in coordinating installations, upgrades, and day-to-day maintenance
- Strong knowledge of service improvement lifecycles and delivery in a global environment
