Job Description

As the Director of Audit Operations and Professional Practice, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the internal audit team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing data-driven audit operations to enhance the production of insightful management information for audit operations, continuous monitoring, and Board reporting.
  • Preparing financial forecasts and monitoring budgets for the GIA team in conjunction with the Finance Department.
  • Conducting a rigorous internal quality assurance program to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of audit processes, reports, and documentation.
  • Continuously assessing and improving audit methodology and framework in line with leading industry practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring required skill sets for the team and designing/arranging training.

Key Requirements:

  • External or internal auditing experience, including accountability for reviewing the quality of audit reports.
  • Previous experience of developing data-driven information, both for internal use and Board Committee.
  • Detailed knowledge of audit principles and practices in line with Global Standards.

What We Offer:

  • Base salary dependent on experience from £115,000 - £130,000.
  • Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 40%.
  • Car allowance of £7,500.
  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holiday.
