About the Role

The Group Head of Infrastructure Operations will be responsible for leading the Infrastructure Operations team, ensuring the effective management of server, systems, virtualization, storage, Citrix, and SharePoint/Web Services. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the Bank's infrastructure and ensuring that service levels are met.

About the Team

The Infrastructure Operations team is a vital part of the Bank's operations, and the Group Head of Infrastructure Operations will be responsible for managing this team. The team is comprised of highly technical professionals who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Bank's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing solutions to challenges and problems
  • Developing and improving infrastructure plans, services, policies, procedures, and processes
  • Identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring effective controls are in place
  • Driving continuous improvement and increasing the effectiveness of services
  • Contributing to the design and delivery of a quality improvement framework
  • Supporting the delivery of a wellbeing framework for employees
  • Overseeing timing, resources, scheduling, and staffing to meet high demand and maintain a smooth customer experience
  • Taking a hands-on role in project management work, IT budget forecasting, and DR Tests
  • Nurturing teams of highly technical professionals during change/release management
  • Operationalizing, implementing, and developing the Group's IT Operations Strategy
  • Assisting in analysis, planning, and oversight of all elements of the Group's Infrastructure Operations
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to build and maintain infrastructure systems
  • Translating organizational direction into specific team and individual job expectations
  • Ensuring compliance with the organization's Risk Management Policies and Data Governance Policies
  • Maintaining the company's compliance standards and ensuring timely completion of mandatory training modules
  • Line managing and coaching direct reports, including performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration, and recruitment
  • Acting as the Relationship Owner and primary business contact for vendors
