The Role

Due to recent and anticipated project expansion, our client is actively seeking a Construction Manager to oversee tier 1 contractors, ensuring effective daily site supervision.

Your role will involve facilitating seamless coordination among logistics, planning, and project execution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Define and manage work scopes within the Site Delivery Teams.
  • Secure and oversee resources, upholding SQEP standards and addressing personnel matters.
  • Develop and implement efficient execution strategies in line with the overall Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders and ensure the timely delivery of contracts within budget and to the highest standards.
  • Proactively manage and resolve project challenges, including risk management and budget adjustments.
  • Ensure consistency in project timelines and deliverables, reviewing contractors' payment requests.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Lead and manage the performance of your direct team, ensuring completion of all mandatory training.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering construction, particularly in managing large and complex infrastructure projects within regulated environments.
  • Proven success in engaging and managing stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and other advisors.
  • Strong communication and management skills encompassing construction management, project management, financial oversight, change management, and facilitation.
  • Experience in groundworks, earthworks, and management.
  • Proficient in cost control, risk management, site health and safety audits, schedule management, and earned value techniques.
  • Exceptional organizational and team leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, IT, and facilitation skills.
  • SMSTS certification along with Site Supervisor or Site Manager SCSC card is essential.
