Job Title: Regional Accounting Manager

We're seeking a seasoned Regional Accounting Manager to join our team at Expeditors International. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities across our region to ensure compliance with global policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and ensure timely and accurate posting of global accounting entries submitted by our headquarters.
  • Participate in the monthly review of third-party outlays and intercompany entries to validate compliance with our global policies and procedures.
  • Support country controllers in evaluating their control environment through annual internal control evaluations and provide guidance on implementing action plans to mitigate deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with country controllers and regional accounting teams to prepare and deliver accounting-related global requests and information requirements.
  • Contribute to the review of accounting processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that positively impact productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide financial and accounting expertise to support regional business operations management teams.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of financial policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a regional controller, regional accounting manager, finance manager, or controller.
  • Strong accounting and finance experience, preferably in the global logistics industry.
  • Accounting qualification.
  • Desirable local tax and regulatory knowledge.
  • Good understanding of business and up-to-date knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including PowerBI, Excel formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely to financial and non-financial personnel at all levels.
