Job Title: Regional Accounting Manager

Expeditors is a global logistics company that prides itself on professionalism, leadership, and a friendly environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting activities in the region and ensure compliance with US GAAP, global policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and ensure timely and accurate posting of global accounting entries submitted by CHQ.
  • Participate in the monthly review of third-party outlays and intercompany entries to validate compliance with global policies and procedures.
  • Support countries in evaluating their control environment through annual internal control evaluations and provide guidance on implementing action plans to mitigate deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Country Controllers and Regional Accounting team on accounting-related global requests and information requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and provide financial and accounting expertise to regional business operations management teams.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Regional Controller, Regional Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or Controller.
  • Strong accounting and finance experience, preferably in the global logistics industry.
  • Accounting qualification and local tax and regulatory knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in compliance and internal controls.
  • Fluent in English.
