Regional Accounting Manager

We're seeking a seasoned Regional Accounting Manager to join our team at Expeditors International. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities across our region to ensure compliance with global policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute review procedures to ensure timely and accurate posting of global accounting entries.
- Participate in monthly reviews of third-party outlays and intercompany entries to validate compliance with global policies.
- Support countries in evaluating their control environment through annual internal control evaluations.
- Collaborate with country controllers and regional accounting teams on accounting-related global requests and information requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency in accounting.
- Provide financial and accounting expertise to regional business operations management teams.
- Assist in preparing and executing financial policies and procedures.
- Proven experience as a Regional Controller, Regional Accounting Manager, or Finance Manager.
- Strong accounting and finance experience, preferably in the global logistics industry.
- Accounting qualification.
- Desirable local tax and regulatory knowledge.
- Good understanding of business and up-to-date knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office, including PowerBI, Excel formulas, and pivot tables.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
This role may require occasional travel and is based in London.
