Regional Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Accounting Manager to join our team at Expeditors International. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting activities of our Region to ensure compliance with US GAAP, global policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute review procedures to ensure timely and accurate posting of global accounting entries submitted by CHQ.
- Participate in the monthly review of third-party outlays and Intercompany entries to validate compliance with our Global Policies and Procedures.
- Support countries in evaluating their control environment through Annual Internal Control Evaluations and discuss action plans to mitigate deficiencies.
- Collaborate with Country Controllers and Regional Accounting team on Accounting-related Global requests and information requirements.
- Participate in the review of Accounting Processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide financial and accounting expertise to regional business operations management teams.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of financial policies and procedures.
- Proven experience as a Regional Controller, Regional Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or Controller.
- Strong Accounting and Finance experience, preferably in the Global Logistics Industry.
- Accounting Qualification.
- Desire local tax and regulatory knowledge.
- Good understanding of business and up-to-date knowledge of Accounting Rules & Regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office, including PowerBI, Excel Formulas, and Pivot Tables.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely.
