As an Area Accounting Manager, you will oversee activities performed by Accounting Departments in our Region to ensure compliance with US GAAP, global policies, and procedures, and any other local tax legislation. Your responsibilities will include executing review procedures to ensure global accounting entries are timely and accurately posted, actively participating in the monthly review of third party outlays and Intercompany entries, and providing support to countries on the evaluation of their control environment. You will also collaborate with Country Controllers and Regional Accounting teams on the preparation and delivery of Accounting related Global requests, participate in the review of Accounting Processes to identify improvement opportunities, and provide financial and accounting expertise to regional business operations management teams. To be successful in this role, you will need proven experience as a Regional Controller, Regional Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or Controller, with strong Accounting and Finance experience, preferably in the Global Logistics Industry. You will also require Accounting Qualification, local tax and regulatory knowledge, and good understanding of business and Accounting Rules & Regulations. Additionally, you will need to be proficient in MS Office, including PowerBI, Excel Formulas, and Pivot Tables, and have effective interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely to financial and non-financial persons at all levels. This position may require occasional travel and is based in London.
