Job Objective:
To be an integral part of the Estimating Team in achieving Sales Goals and organizational aims – catering to both current clients and new ventures within Mission Critical Solutions.Key Responsibilities:
- Execute precise mechanical cost assessments for a variety of projects within the MCS portfolio.
- Suggest creative solutions to fulfill client needs.
- Maintain industry awareness to stay informed about competitors' methodologies.
- Compile and prepare proposal submissions, including evaluations of new project delivery methods to identify feasible commercial options.
- Adopt a proactive stance towards enhancing communication, management practices, and systems to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the adoption of 'best practices'.
- Ensure the implementation of standardized practices across the division to establish meaningful commercial and operational metrics.
- Gather costs from specialized subcontractors.
- Interpret and comprehend client requests and documentation.
- Participate in site visits as necessary as part of the bidding process.
- Assist in drafting correspondence and documentation.
- Update the Pipeline Reporting System and contribute to the creation of Business Development Management information reports.
- Attend Divisional Bid Meetings.
- Follow up on submitted tenders.
- Aid in the preparation of tender submissions.
- Set agreed performance benchmarks.
- Measure performance against contractual obligations.
- Identify a wide range of cost-saving initiatives in accordance with contractual commitments.
- Engage with client organizations as necessary, providing insightful reports and proactive data and information.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience:- Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent).
- Preferably experienced in Data Centre projects.
- Strong management background.
- Relevant estimating experience within a Building Services contractor.
- Proficient in IT applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
