Job Title: Senior Cost Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Specialist to join our team at EMCOR UK.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to play a crucial role in managing costs within CAPEX construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers, Sub-contractors, and Project Stakeholders to ensure accurate cost management and timely payment applications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage payment applications, cost reporting, risk management, goods receipt processing, and timely Subcontractor Payment Assessments and Client invoicing.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in producing Cost Reporting and Account Reconciliation.
  • Liaise with Project Managers to review subcontractor accounts, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
  • Review subcontractor payment applications for accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Ensure subcontractor invoices are accurately documented and processed for payment in line with the project's cash flow and budget.
Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Cost Management, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Diplomatic ability to communicate with others at all levels of the business.
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience of Programme and project level financial management.
  • Personable, pro-active, professional and able to demonstrate full commitment to exceptional customer care and service in all activities.
Salary:

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
