Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This is a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for up to 12 months, providing invaluable support to women and their families during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist assessment, support, and treatment to women experiencing mental health challenges during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental state examinations and thoroughly assess risk factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and coordinated care.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered clinician with a professional health or social care qualification.
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience in mental health or a related field.
  • Extensive experience conducting first-line assessments, including risk assessment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in community settings in a senior practitioner role.
  • Specialist knowledge of perinatal mental health.
