Job Title: Compliance and Health and Safety Manager

We're a leading provider of smart energy solutions, and we're looking for a skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our compliance and safety team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities for improvement to reduce hazards and improve safety.
  3. Work closely with the logistics and transport teams to ensure safe working practices and procedures.
  4. Manage third-party health and safety providers to ensure compliance with our standards and procedures.
  5. Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
  6. Evaluate facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
  7. Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
  8. Investigate accidents or incidents to discover direct causes.
  9. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures and report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager.
  2. Experience in the health and safety side of Logistics and Transport as well as understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  3. Hold a NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  4. Hold an internal auditing qualification e.g ISO45001.
  5. Have in-depth understanding of UK H&S legislation and its practical application in social housing refurbishment projects or similar (CDM, WAH, Asbestos and Gas etc).
  6. Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
  7. Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
