About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team as the Head of IT and Cybersecurity. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our IT strategy, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, and providing exceptional support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the IT team, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects and services.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective use of resources and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute the overall IT strategy, aligning with the company's business objectives.
  • Manage and monitor all IT contracts, ensuring compliance and optimal value for the company.
  • Tender procurement of IT equipment, contracts, and software, ensuring best value for the company.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies, including the introduction of AI and other emerging technologies.
  • Develop policies and procedures to support the IT operation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and coaching to the IT team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide IT training to the wider business, as required.
  • Streamline the IT offering, ensuring cohesion across all offices.
  • Liaise with the business to understand IT requirements, ensuring the IT function is aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor the helpdesk operation, ensuring prompt resolution of helpdesk tickets.
  • Join the disaster recovery team and lead the IT response to any incidents.
  • Produce and collate IT reports, as required.
  • Oversee the management of cyber security, ensuring sufficient protection is in place to safeguard the company's data and systems.
  • Research, develop, and project manage new software and hardware to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • A degree in an IT-related qualification or equivalent.
  • Preferably Microsoft 365 certified.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of managing and implementing an IT function within a business.
  • Strong technology experience, with a solid understanding of support IT services within a business of 200+ employees.
  • Good understanding of GDPR and data protection.
  • Strong market knowledge and evidence of utilizing that knowledge to make changes with an IT function.
  • Confidence to work with ambiguity, prioritize effectively, assess and manage risk, and make decisions.
