Crooton is seeking a Payroll Operations Lead to join our client's expanding team in Inverness.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a deep understanding of payroll and pensions to contribute to the success of a leading healthcare provider.

As the Payroll Operations Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of over 18,000 employee payrolls. You will lead a team of payroll professionals and work closely with management and operational staff to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Implement and monitor payroll policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage payroll software upgrades and ensure system security.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on payroll activity, providing insights to management.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional payroll qualification (CIPP Diploma/Degree or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in processing large volume payrolls.
  • Proven supervisory experience, leading and motivating a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
