Deputy Payroll Manager: A Key Role in Barchester Healthcare

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Payroll Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing and payment of over 18,000 Barchester Healthcare employees.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Ensure the accurate and timely processing and payment of Barchester Healthcare employees, in accordance with all Statutory and Company Accounting Requirements.
- Team Support: Provide support and guidance to the payroll team and deputise for the Payroll Manager in their absence.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, operational, and support staff, and assist Home Administrators on payroll and system issues.
- Policy Implementation: Understand and implement company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
- Reporting: Produce reports on a daily, monthly, and ad hoc basis, including RTI Returns and the reconciliation of PAYE, P11d expenses and benefits, and payroll software upgrades.
- Professional Qualification: Professional payroll qualification (CIPP Diploma/Degree or equivalent).
- Payroll Experience: Extensive payroll knowledge and experience of processing large volume payrolls.
- Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience.
- Reporting Skills: Report writing experience (SAP Crystal reports or Business Objects equivalent).
- Accounting Experience: Accounting experience/use of accounting systems.
- IT Literacy: Excellent IT literacy and PC skills, including Excel.
