Job Description

**Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As an Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical services and mechanical plant services of a flagship historical venue in South Kensington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily plant room checks and maintain the electrical services of the venue.
  • Assist in the maintenance of mechanical plant services, including air conditioning, chillers, and water treatment systems.
  • Conduct lighting and emergency lighting maintenance, including small installations, fault-finding, and control panel work.
  • Monitor and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and UPS systems.
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
  • Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

Working Hours:

  • 4 on, 4 off (2 earlies, 2 lates then repeat)
  • 07:00-17:30 (earlies), 16:00-02:00 (lates)
  • Cab home on late shift (must live within M25)

Requirements:

  • Experience working in commercial building services
  • Electrically qualified
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • Testing & Inspection
  • 18th Edition if electrically qualified
  • Apprentice trained - Desired not essential
  • Able to work the hours advertised
  • Experience working within both landlord and tenant area's of a commercial premises are preferable.
