Rainham, Greater London, United Kingdom NELFT North East London Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become a part of a progressive and innovative procurement team at NELFT, which is a collaborative service supporting multiple healthcare organizations. Our procurement shared service is dedicated to delivering exceptional procurement solutions to various mental health and community trusts in the region. The role offers a flexible working arrangement, with a requirement for in-office attendance on designated days.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking two Lead Procurement Officers to oversee specific expenditure categories: Clinical and Purchased Health, as well as Digital and Estates. The ideal candidates will contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective procurement and contracting service that aligns with customer needs and ensures optimal value for all aspects of the organization’s operations. They will advocate for this service among users and support the shared service in achieving and maintaining NHS Procurement & Commercial Standards accreditation by leading a significant area of strategic delivery.

Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of PSR, PCR 2015, and the Procurement Act 2023 within a professional context.

About NELFT

NELFT places significant emphasis on the onboarding and integration of new employees into the organization. All new hires will participate in a comprehensive orientation program that includes essential training, systems education, and equipment allocation. During this process, new employees will have the opportunity to engage with executive leadership and senior management, as well as attend various sessions focused on engagement, health, and wellbeing.

COVID-19 Vaccination

We encourage all staff to ensure they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as this provides the best protection for our patients, staff, and their families.
