Job Summary:

Rainham Steel, a leading UK steel stockholder, is seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join their team at their Head Office in Essex. As a key member of the logistics team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to London and the Home Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-use vehicle inspection checks and report any defects.
  • Ensure goods are safely secured and loaded/unloaded as required.
  • Meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain vehicles in good condition and adhere to working time regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (category C+E) licence.
  • CPC card and Digi Tachograph card.
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Previous experience completing multi-drop deliveries.
  • Good command of the English language.
